Workshop on International Mooting Skills organized by the Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS)

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our National Moot Workshop 2024, which brought together aspiring legal minds from across the country. Over the course of the event, participants engaged in rigorous training sessions, dynamic workshops, and insightful discussions led by esteemed mooters of the present generation.

The workshop was designed to equip participants with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to excel in international moot court competitions. The sessions covered key aspects such as legal research, brief writing, case analysis, and oral advocacy. The inclusion of simulated moot rounds gave participants hands-on experience in presenting arguments and responding to challenging questions from judges.

Our distinguished facilitators for the workshop were:

1. Rafid Azad Saumik

Executive Board Member, Dhaka University Moot Court Society

2. Samin Yeasar Islam

General Secretary, JULS Mooting & Debating Club

Their expertise and guidance provided invaluable insights into the art of mooting, helping participants refine their advocacy skills and courtroom presence.

We had participation from eight universities, contributing to a rich exchange of ideas and fostering a collaborative learning environment. These universities included:

  • University of Chittagong
  • Premier University, Chittagong
  • Southern University Bangladesh
  • Port City International University
  • International Islamic University Chittagong
  • Chittagong Independent University
  • North South University
  • Noakhali Science and Technology University
  • Feni University

SCLS extends its heartfelt gratitude to the facilitators, organizers, volunteers, and participants who made this event a remarkable success. We remain committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals through such impactful initiatives.
